Latham won the prestigious “International Deal Firm of the Year” award in the 2012 Asian Legal Business South East Law Awards. Latham’s corporate and finance teams also won recognition for their work on two award-winning deals, which were praised for their size, innovation and ground-breaking nature, including:
- “Projects Deal of the Year” and “Singapore Deal of the Year” – Jurong Aromatics Petrochemical Plant Project; Latham advised the borrower
- “Singapore M&A Deal of the Year” – Nestle S.A. Acquisition of 60% stake in Hsu Fu Chi International; Latham advised Morgan Stanley as financial advisor to Hsu Fu Chi International
The awards “recognise the excellence and outstanding achievements of SE Asia's leading law firms and in-house legal teams as well as the top deals and dealmakers of 2011.” The Deals of the Year are selected based on financial value, complexity, breadth and innovation.
